Gone Nuts!Done for a weekend challenge in the 3D community at Blenderartists.org. The theme was "Nuts" and I came up with this take on it. Did the post-processing with Blender's compositing nodes (motion blur, lens focus, diffuse glow etc.), only a bit of touch up work in Photoshop to eliminate artifacts from the motion blur and lens focus node setup. Also did some last minute color-correction in Photoshop, but overall 99% Blender. I experimented a bit with a fake sub surface scattering. Applied this to the skin and the eyes. Also worth of noting is that the textures are 100% procedural all the way (not a single image-based texture). This page is maintained for archival purposes.
